PURPOSE OF THIS PLATFORM.

This platform promotes autonomous learning, so that you can practice beyond the lesson. This is not considered as homework, it will be optional for you to use it or not. However, there is a great difference between those students who practice in between their lessons by themselves.

SOME ADDITIONAL SUGGESTIONS FOR BETTER RESULTS.

  1. Listen to music in English and enjoy it. Have in mind that sometimes pronunciation, intonation or even grammar structures are not correct because sometimes lyrics need to fit in the tune. However, this is still a useful resource to make your brain feel comfortable with the language.
  2. Change your mobile display to English. You already know where to find each one of the options you normally use.
  3. If you watch movies or series you already know, make sure you set them with audio and subtitles in English. This will be quite helpful for you. Enjoy listening to the real actors’ voices. Try to imitate phrases you like.
  4. Read aloud. If you read an article in a daily basis your brain will:

    *SEE the language (visual learning).
*LISTEN to your voice in English. This is extremely important so it gets used to your voice in another language and little by little it starts to feel more natural (auditory learning). We highly recommend you to imitate American or British accent. Only you will be there and you won’t feel judged. This is the best chance you have to practice intonation and it is not important if you pronounce it correctly or not, but do it with feeling, with this foreign accent. Little by little your pronunciation and intonation will improve.
*MOVE. If you try to write a brief summary or opinion about it you will move your hand stimulating other connections to your brain. It is not important if it is correct or not. Do it handwritten, it works better. (kinesthetic learning).

By doing this, your grammar structures and vocabulary will improve drastically. Some reliable sources for this activity are:

5. Last but not least, do your best!
*Arrive on time to your lessons.
*Have an active participation.
*Ask whenever you have doubts.
*If you need extra support let us know.
*Enjoy it! You are doing this for yourself. The result of this will be a personal and professional development.
*From know on use the language whenever you can. Practice, practice, practice.
*Believe YOU CAN DO IT!

GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS.

Esto nos ayudará a ver elementos que afectan la pronunciación del idioma (roundness of the mouth, position of the tongue and teeth, etc).
